Each module contains lessons and activities to help set you up for success as you enhance your facilitation skills to grow your business, become more marketable across industries and increase the probability for advancement in your career.

We generate multiple 6 figures a year from facilitation and have a track record of high quality service and delivery. We are on a mission to support the development and effectiveness of facilitators globally because we believe they play a critical role in creating more impactful organizations and workplace culture. For this reason, we don’t hold anything back in our training material. You get the exact tools, processes, and templates we use with our clients.
This training is for anyone that works in, with, and/or leads a team(s). It is especially useful for career facilitators, project managers, trainers/workshop leaders, consultants working with teams, team coaches, individuals looking to change career paths, employees looking to develop new marketable skills for workplace advancement, executive board members (including committee chairs and advisory board members).
Each level has a variety of activities and assessments to enhance your learning experience. The time it takes to complete the full training (all 3 levels) varies depending on the level and the student. You can expect to spend 7-9 hours on levels 1 and 2.
Level 1 (Facilitator Foundations) explores the core foundational components of great facilitation. We distinguish between roles that are incorrectly made synonymous with “facilitator”, outline clear and practical functions of an impactful facilitator, and provide easy to use tools to help with structure, engagement and overall effectiveness. Level 1 also offers practice scenarios that allow you to examine the impact of personality and communication styles on a facilitated experience. It also teaches you how to leverage the various levels of listening and conversation as you cultivate your facilitation style. If you are new to facilitation, or need to brush up on some core foundations, we suggest you start here because it firmly sets the stage for a strong facilitation framework and approach. Level 2 (The Art & Science of Facilitation) is where we demystify the strategic thinking and creativity behind creating exceptional facilitated experiences. We explore the range of tools (plus bonus assessments!) that have continued to create success and high quality experiences for our clients as well as other tools that are standard in the industry. We walk you through how to design a facilitated experience that plays to your strengths while providing the highest quality to the client. This level is designed to leave you with practical steps on how to create a culture of ideation and collaborative decision making as well as how to plan for when your plan doesn’t work. A beginner facilitator is welcome to take this course 1st; however, we encourage you to start with level 1 as this course is extremely beneficial to facilitators looking to refine their current skill set and add more practical tools to their toolbox. Level 3 (The Facilitator’s Practitioner Course) is designed for students who have either taken both levels 1 and 2 OR who have tested out of both levels 1 and 2. At this level, students get hands-on support for designing and developing real-world facilitation experiences in addition to direct evaluation and recommendations from the VPI team. This is where we put all of the learning into practice with real audiences. After successful completion, students receive their formal certification which can be added to your CV, portfolio, and across social media platforms. Students also become eligible to work directly on available VPI projects as an independent contractor, not to mention building their portfolio of work with high-quality projects. To receive the value that has allowed us to earn multiple 6 figures a year with facilitation, we encourage you to take all 3 levels. You can purchase each level separately to move at a pace that works well for you, or purchase them in a bundle if you want to fast track your ability to implement what you’ve learned and start seeing results.
The Desirable Facilitator Training certification is available after successful completion of all 3 levels [within a certain timeframe]. Each level helps further refine your knowledge, skills, and increases your ability to effectively implement what you’re learning with current and future clients. While you are certainly welcome to take only 1 or 2 levels, each level is designed to provide insight and information related to the various aspects of facilitation. Once all three levels are completed you will have a quantifiable understanding of facilitation, have received one on one coaching from a VPI Firm subject matter expert and be fully equipped with the tools needed to provide an exceptional facilitation experience.
The Desirable Facilitator Training certification provides proof of rigorous skill development and critical thinking, competency in implementation, and successful real-world application of tools, techniques, strategies, and approaches. It allows you to demonstrate your commitment to excelling in your craft and creates a high standard of professionalism increasing your ability to attract and retain your ideal clients. The certification is good for 3 years. We offer a wide range of continuing education (CE) support after the 3-year term. You will receive more information about CE support after certification.
Yes, all resources are available for your use; however you must remove all VPI branding before use. Feel free to add your own branding and customize the resources to meet your clients needs.
In alignment with our mission to support the development and effectiveness of facilitators globally, you will always have access to the training level that you purchase.
